Too many people in Halifax don’t have safe and supportive housing.
Over the last three decades, we have worked hard to broaden the scope of our services beyond the provision of stable and affordable housing. Every person we serve is an individual with a variety of needs beyond housing to stabilize their lives and pursue their personal goals.
By ensuring the competent, efficient, caring provision of safe, affordable, long-term housing to single men and women, we are recognized as a valuable asset in our community. We also provide a number of different support services available to those who may need them.
- Provide safe, affordable, stable, long term housing in a supportive environment.
- Manage quality housing with a participatory style.
- Engage in individual support, advocacy, referral and access to community resources for single adults who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
- Participate in the community to advocate for safe, affordable housing and for other related poverty issues, and participating in research related to these activities.
